The actor, who has just returned from a trip to Bali to celebrate wife Kiran Rao’s birthday, was shocked to hear the story that he would play the lead character in the next Munnabhai movie, replacing Sanjay Dutt.
“It’s not true. I don’t even know whether Rajkumar Hirani is making Munnabhai 3 or not,” said Aamir in an interview. “As far as I’m concerned, I think only Sanju can do full justice to the character of Munnabhai. He is the ideal casting for Munnabhai. The way Sanju played the character in part one and two is extremely commendable. It has left an indelible impression on my mind. I wouldn’t want any other actor to do Munnabhai.”
